We started Sococo 10 years ago to enable distributed teams to work remotely side-by-side in an online office, connecting people and providing benefits of colocation.
While our vision to unleash the performance potential of distributed teams hasn’t changed, Sococo has—and for the better! We’re currently on version 6 of our browser-based platform introduced over two years ago, and we’re continuously making improvements so that your team’s virtual work experience is the very best it can be.
We’ve changed as a company, too. Hiring top talent from across the globe, our own distributed team has grown to include developers, support experts, and experience geniuses located everywhere from San Francisco to London to India.
Along the way we’ve learned a thing or two about remote working ourselves, and the direction we want to take Sococo. We’re evolving every day, working hard to provide our growing community of Sococo-ers with better service, better supporting resources, and a better platform.
As organizations embrace new ways of doing work, we believe more than ever that Sococo’s online office is the place where distributed teams can get work done together, regardless of organizational size, industry focus or teamwork scenario.
I guess you could say Sococo is growing up. And part of growing up is making tough decisions on where we direct our energies and resources. A decision we’ve recently made is that we can no longer offer a free plan. We made this decision so that we can maximize our investments in improving the Sococo experience for our paying customers.
So what does this mean for you?
If you’re currently on a 30-day trial, your trial will continue as-is until the end of the 30 days, at which point you’ll receive an email with details about continuing on a paid plan.
If you’re a freemium user, you can continue using your Sococo workspace for free for 15 days. At the end of that grace period, you’ll receive an email with instructions on how you can convert to a paid plan. During the grace period, we will be reaching out to ensure there is no interruption in your access to Sococo. We want to make sure your questions are answered as we move forward together.
While our free plan is transitioning out, we’ll be transitioning in new and exciting Sococo updates, including an enhanced media experience with awesome iOS and Android mobile apps!
Most of all, we’d like to thank you for your continued support. Your ideas, feedback, and commitment to effective remote working have made Sococo what it is today. We hope to see you soon in Sococo.
